One foot in front of the other
It’s fall now
I use toilet paper to wipe droplets of clear snot from my daughter’s nose
Me, her, and my wife all share the same chapstick
We’ve talked about buying my daughter rain boots
But worry it won’t rain enough
When Halloween came, I didn’t buy candy for trick or treaters because last year, we only had one group ring our doorbell
My daughter didn’t wear the Halloween costume we bought her
I’ve been putting cinnamon in my coffee
One morning, after I got fired from work for calling my boss a {{redacted}}
I laid in the backyard on the wet grass and let the rain pelt me in the face until I couldn’t tell if it was tears or rain that soaked my cheeks
And my mother says that I don’t have any body fat because I’m vegan
That’s why I’m always cold
When people want to complain, they seek me out
The season’s changed, but a lot of it is the same
I’m still the guy people go to when they’re depressed
The alcohol swirls in a cup made of glass
And we write
And we write
And we write
